Sports | Whats Wrong with the Cavaliers?

Normally I would be writing about winning streaks of your favorite teams or players but this time around, the crowd favorite Cavaliers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 127-99.

For the past losses by the Cavs, I dismiss it since they lost Derrick Rose (who retired), and a lot of injured players in their roster then like Kevin Love, Isaiah Thomas and Shumpert.  However with their game against the Timberwolves, it was only Shumpert (if I'm not mistaken) is the only one who couldn't play.

Lebron James was held down to 10 points, his lowest for this season.  Last time he had 10 points was during the 2007 game against the Dallas Mavericks.   Kevin Love was held to only 3 points, JR Smith to 2 points.  The starter line up only contributed 28 points total.  It was the rest of the team that carried the slack in scoring with J. Green leading with 22 points, with Korver adding 19 and Wade with 13.

That being said, the Timberwolves on a dramatic turn around in numbers, they had an impeccable impressive night with the game going their way.  Their defense had the Cavs commit 13 turnovers which they scored 19 points out of it.

They had control over the boards with 56 over 37 by the Cavs.  This alone spelled for a great night for the Timberwolves.  Led by Wiggins with 25 points, followed by Butler (21), Towns (19) and Gibson (16), they led the game all the way.  The lead went up to 41 points even over the Cavs.

The Lebron led Cavaliers had a deeper bench and with great players, we expected a lot from this team and we do hope they get over this slump.  As of now they are in third place with a 26-14 in the east while the Timberwolves improved their record with 26-16 in the west for fourth place.

On a side note - Isaiah Thomas was ejected from the game for flagrant 2 foul on Andrew Wiggins.
