About Town | PTAA Gains More Partners with International Counterparts

The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) slowly but surely expands its existing partnerships with its international counterparts in the hopes of providing its members new leads to grow each one's operations.

As the Travel Tour Expo (TTE) opens on its 26th offing at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City,  Eight (8) national tourism organizations (NTO) participated to showcase their destinations while working hand in hand with the PTAA members to provide the travel options to public.

"Filipinos are travelling the world more.  International arrivals has been rising steadily over the past years.  Tourism is one of the country's sunshine industries.  Done the right way, businesses will flourish in the industry " as noted by TTE2019 chairperson Marlene Dado Jante.

At the event, it featured 400 exhibitors, with 994 booths, and foot traffic reaching at least 135,000.  It also featured major airlines, hotels and resorts, travel agencies, cruise lines, and theme parks around the world.

The PTAA conducts also regular trainings and seminars for its members relevant to the industry needs.  it also takes its members to at least two international and domestic familiarization tours annually.  It holds meetings and dialogues with various government agencies and with the diplomatic community.
