Person of Interest | Miss Earth Australia 2017

Bloggers were treated to a night with Ms. Nina Roberston at AKIRA, Alphaland Makati Place, last October, 4, 2017.

Pageant Background

She joined Mutya Australia at the age of 18 and won. She competed in the Philippines were she received the title as Mutya ng Pilipinas Overseas Community 2015. She's 20 yrs old, Filipina - Australian from Melbourne. She's studying in University, taking Bachelor of Science and her aim is to continue to do good on which this pageant is about raising the 5 Rs (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, Respect, Rethink) for the environment.

She's representing Miss Earth Australia as of the moment is here in the Philippines to join in the Miss Earth 2017.

Before Pageants

In every school year she participates on different kinds of sports. She shares this hobby with her family. She's the youngest in the family and the only person to compete. What made her try the pageant back in Australia is after she attended a pageant and got an invite from the director of the event. She was hesitant at first but meeting new people, helping to reach out the communities and let her voice be heard. She's determined to do it.

Environment Advocacy

Reducing food waste. Upon learning of the amount of food waste in the news, the amount could have fed to the hungry community. She act on this by making a short program in schools in Australia. He program covers 'Plan & Prep' noting what to prepare on weekly basis that includes shopping list, 'Keeping Track' checking things in the fridge and 'Composting' any organic matter can compose to make good soil to reduce the carbon footprint.

Dermcare Ambassadress

That aside representing another country right now, she's the current ambassadress and face of Dermcare Philippines. She gave us a short tour of the Dermcare office located at the 2nd floor of the Alphaland Makati Place.
