Travel PH | Binuang Falls - Camarines Norte
Binuang Falls name was derived from the name of the trees that surrounds it. The name of the trees were Bilwang, and was usually made into chopsticks. After such time, the name of the area was Binuang.
A three tiered falls, this is located at Barangay Daguit in Labo Camarines Norte. Fed by a river, water is cool after running though the dense forest trees. So swimming in its waters are soothing and enjoyable.
On the first level, there's a pool they created where they have lots of cottages around it. Going up to tiers 2 and 3 is passable through make shift stairs and it gets more adventurous. In the upper tiers, you may find cliff diving capable spots (better ask the locals which spots to jump off from).
Entrance is only Php10 and cottages can be had for a small fee. You may bring your food inside as we can't find one store or food kiosk within the area. They have nice toilet areas where one can do his or her thing and use it as changing rooms as well.
If you're coming from Manila, you can take a number of buses going there. Best bet is to go to Cubao where they all start out. You can either take DLTB or Superlines (* as of presstime - DLTB also has a terminal in Gil Puyat but we can't guarantee there's a trip going to Labo). Another alternative is to take a ride to Daet, Camarines Norte and simply take a smaller bus back to Labo.
Our stay here was short as we only had a quick bite and a tour of this place. But this didn't stop this writer from making a quick dip into the first level pool. Quite refreshing really. Sadly we only stayed a short time, but the dip was a great way to relax briefly. If this quick dip was this refreshing already, I can only surmise how it would be nice to stay longer.
