Travel PH | Take the Bus to Bagasbas Beach

Bagasbas Beach is a few kilometers away from Daet town center... so if you're in Manila, take a bus to Daet.  Either take it from Cubao or Alabang, fare costs only Php500++, travel takes 8 hours at the most.  There are a lot bus lines passing though Daet, but a word of caution though, on weekends, they get fully booked, so better reserve a seat already.  This writer learned a great lesson, as I wasn't able to buy a ticket beforehand. Having your bag fully loaded and with nowhere to go is not my idea of fun.  Especially if you are at the station near midnight.  I had to go home again and plan my next trip to Daet.

Now going back to Bagasbas Beach, this is a long stretch of a beach, lined up along the Corazon Aquino Boulevard, which they say when finished would be longest boulevard in the country.  For now, its a great long stretch of a road along a long stretch of a beach as well.  As of now, the road is filled with lots of shops and some bed and breakfast hotels.

In the mornings, there are a lot of joggers and bikers.  Everyone tries to simmer in the cool breeze coming from the sea plus the the warm glow of the rising sun, that is life.  During weekends, attend the zumba classes on the beach, its free!!!!

Even in the mornings, the beach is alive with hawkers selling street food from siomai to taho.  You wouldn't go hungry on your morning run.

I have already talked about the beach and only now I mentioned that the beach is also known for its surfing side.  Along the beach also one can find surfing aficionados offering lessons.  Costs Php400 per hour, it covers the use of the board and the instructors fees as well.

Night time also carries a different feel to Bagasbas Beach.  You can stroll its dark beaches, with again the cool breeze on you face, with a beer in hand, that's relaxation for me.  Some bars offer al fresco drinking and dining so everything is so informal, adding to your enjoyment.  With warm inviting people, your experience will make you not forget of Bagasbas Beach.

So what are you waiting for?  Grab that bus to Bagasbas.
