Travel PH | Cozy Feel at Nathaniel Hotel - Daet Camarines Norte
Being cozy in a hotel in a province isn't easy. Usually its just the basic stuff. Bed, a CRT TV, bathroom with shower, hot water (if you are lucky). But with Nathaniel, it was quite a surprise. It was our second surprise hotel in Daet that took our breath away.
Don't underestimate the small reception area and the steep staircase, deep inside their rooms offer comfort that is cozy and relaxing. Upon entry in your room immediately you will feel a warm welcome with the cool and vibrant color theme inside.
Bed had clean and fresh smelling linens. You have 2 pillows each. Yes 2 pillows!!!! The window type airconditioner unit might be small to your sight but it packs a whallop in blowing cold air to the room. The LED TV offers great cable channels so staying in is no problem here. You might forget to get out and see Daet LOL. Bathrooms had its own water heating systems, toiletries are likewise provided. Towels were fluffy and does not seem to be old. A great stay indeed in this hotel.
The only caveat we found with this hotel is the WIFI. It was weak in our room as we were billeted away from the staircase for which the router was located. If you want to use their WIFI, go down their restaurant and surf there. Order your coffee or have a ice cold beer while doing so. They are accommodating as we stayed up until 1am. They kept the restaurant open for us while we update our social media accounts.
The room comes with FREE breakfast and they serve a mean one. They also serve something novelty in coffee. Among their coffee choices, they have one that's made from rice. I don't know how it was made but it exciting to taste one.
They are located along a main thoroughfare so going around the city is as easy waiting for a tricycle which is the main transport going around. Although we did not find any convenience store during our brief stay, we suggest buying your groceries and needed items before heading back for the night in this hotel.
Staff were cordial and nice and this added to our great feeling during stay. We do hope that there will be more hotels like this in Daet very soon. We will come back for sure in this town and it would be finding a nice hotel such as this one.
