Benjas Steakhauz | Buendia Gil Puyat Branch
I have written about this steakhouse before and this is maybe my third visit. Located in Gil Puyat near Roxas Boulevard, you will have to pray for parking if you have a car to this place. You will park directly on Gil Puyat. Pray to God you won't get ticketed. The only thing different with this third visit of mine is that I ordered their main dish - the Sirloin MC Steak.
It is priced at P199 without any rice, so you have to add Php20 for unlimited rice and this doesn't come with beverages.
Now, they pride themselves always to deliver the steak within 15 minutes and they aim to please. Service is still great (as they should be as they charge 10% now for service charge - which wasn't done on my first visit) and the food came before the 15 minutes they offered.
Price wise, its a bit cheap for a steak. But their steak is not your usual one so the price is just right. Don't ask them to cook it well done, or rare as their steaks are too thin to call it how you want it. The serving size was okay for the price mentioned. It only feels like having a Boyet Pork Steak (php69) multiplied three times.
Gravy wise, its not to die for. Its just there to add flavour to the steak. I do hope that we can skip the gravy and maybe ask for a steak sauce instead. Might try to ask this next time I'm in the area.
They have free WIFI which doesn't work everytime I get to eat here, maybe I'm just not that tech savvy to use theirs but still its there. You might get lucky. Its airconditioned, thank god, so you get to escape the hot summer sun in Gil Puyat. It gets hot though if the place is packed full of yuppies.
Until now, they don't show the true name of the place. Its labelled Steakhauz and not Benjas Steakhauz. I've seen their banner in Tagaytay and I haven't seen that one yet.
Overall, its a filipino steakhouse so don't confuse it with the american thick steaks that you know of.
