Sports | Sunlife Aquathlon Going Strong On Year 2


Sports enthusiasts who's interested in multi sport competition will be glad again that a race is upon them to test their mettle.  For its year 2 of the event,  Sun Life Philippines partners with BikeKing Philippines to give them Sun Life Aquathlon.

The event is to be held on October 14, 2018 at the Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus, Cavite.  It will also mark the conclusion of the first ever aquathlon series in the country, thus the tag "Series Championship".


"The demand for multisport races in the country has been growing significantly over the year, and Sun Life is happy to nurture the Filipino's interest to become fitter and healthier through sports,"  Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa said.  "This is definitely aligned with our thrust of helping Filipinos live healthier lives."


The Sun Life Aquathlon is designed to be the perfect race for the newbie who wishes to get his/her feet wet in multisport, wihle it also gives the race-honed athlete a variation in his/ her training program.  The individual category will cover different age groups and will offer Standard and Petite distances.  Meanwhile, the relay category will have slots for all-male, all-female, mixed and family teams, but will only offer the Standard distance.

"The success of last year's Aquathlon, which attracted a total of 422 racers, has been truly inspiring, and we look forward to offering another exciting race to this year's participants," Lopa said.
