Travel | The Golden Trail of Paracale

It was our second trip to Paracale and we encountered not one but two adventures.  First was our trip to Macolabo island and now this new attraction, the Golden Trail of Paracale.

The trail is a journey to one the high points of Paracale and it overlooks the whole vast area of the municipality. Something that we did not do during our first trip here and we never knew there was  a high point in this golden town of Paracale.

To make the trail more exciting, the new attraction can be reached, not only by walking (which is a bit far if you ask us) but also by using an ATV or All Terrain Vehicles.  These are mostly dune buggies and these oversized motorbikes with 4 wheels.  Hefty machines that can carry you and a passenger up to the peak in 15-30 minutes or so. 

At its peak, you can see the sprawling greens of Paracale, and if you go up near dusk, you will see the light that shines upon it in a golden shine, thus the monicker, Golden Trail of Paracale.

The trip or tour is facilitated by RRC ATV Motors, located at Pulang Daga Beach and they say the whole experience takes around 45 minutes to an hour. 

If you don't know how to drive, don't worry, driving the ATV is as easy as twisting your thumbs.  It will be just a quick learning curve and will have you enjoying the experience right away.  The trail is easy to medium so don't worry about going up.  Their guides are very good and skilled at guiding you throughout the whole tour.

How to Reach Paracale, Camarines Norte

By Plane

Take a plane to Naga, Camarines Sur, then take a van directly to Paracale, Camarines Norte.  Plane ride is 35-45 minutes, van ride may take 3 hours.

By Bus

Take one from Cubao Terminals (Via DLTB or Superlines for regular bus schedules) going to Daet, Camarines Norte.

You may alight along the highway at the Paracale junction then take any transport going to the town proper.  Or Alight from your destination, Daet, then take a bus or jeep or UV Express back to Paracale.
