Year End Report 2019

The year 2019 was a less is more kind of a year.  We had less travels but we had more endearing memories compared to the previous year.

Yes we may have traveled again to the same locations for some of them here, yet it was done not solo but I had a romantic company, my wife.  We also went back to Bangkok and experienced more of what that city had to offer and it was a truly great experience.  Hope to explore other areas of Thailand for this 2020.

Domestic wise, we went back to Kalibo for the Ati-atihan festival.  We realized this year that Aklan was celebrating their festivals for a week.  From Kalibo, we also experienced the festivities in Altavas and various parts of Aklan.  This addition to our schedule has already prevented us from going to Iloilo City.  Similar to last year, we went to Roxas City where we again sampled their fresh catches of the day, they being the Seafood Capital of the Philippines.  We spent 3 days here unlike we experienced Roxas City for a few hours in 2018.  Antique we also visited but we focused more in Pandan instead of going back to Tibiao (in 2018).  Our goal this 2020 is to go back there via a bike tour and if time and body permits, we can do a Panay loop.  A very daunting task that we hope we can accomplish.

A surprise trip last year was our journey to Carrascal in Surigao Del Sur.  A quiet mining town located in the northern part of Mindanao.  We loved to invite you to go there however due to the mining activities of the area, nature is not something we can be proud of there.  People are warm and welcoming yet the place is not instagram worthy.  Locals there say we have to travel further inward to savor the white beaches of Surigao Del Sur.

Up north, we went to Vigan, Ilocos Sur where we were lucky enough to stay for almost a week.  We were able to wander around and saw a lot of beaches there.  We never knew there were great beaches in Ilocos Sur.  There are more things to see in Vigan aside from the famous Calle Crisologo.

There are still a lot of things we can reminisce for 2019 but we don't have the time and space here to elaborate.  Simply back read on our articles here for more of them details.  Now is the time to start another year of adventures.  We hope that we shall travel again and we can share these experiences to you our readers.
