Pageants | Miss Philippines Earth 2017 Trash to Class - Versailles Palace
(Republished) With Miss Philippines Earth's advocacy towards to the environment, they are holding every year the Trash to Class Competition. They ask the candidates to wear something out of trash and turn the same into dresses, bringing to a level of class.
For this year, the event was held last June 27 at the Versailles Palace Club in Daang Hari, Alabang. Along with the competition, sponsor awards were also given during the event.
The winners of the sponsor awards are as follows; Ms. Kim De Guzman - Olongapo (Miss Boardwalk 2017), Ms. Sam Acosta - Pulilan Bulacan (Ms. Psalmtre and Ms. RedFox), Ms. Ella Bautista - Villanueva Misamiz Oriental (Ms. Placenta).

Trash to class competition winners are the following;
Gold Medal Winner - Ms. Celine Pangan - Ozamis City
She wore an ensemble of plastic cups and spoons and with a backpiece made out of broken glass.
Silver Medal Winner - Ms. Rheena Ferrer - Makati City
She wore a pair of pants embellished with used aluminum caps from soda cans.
Bronze Medal Winners - Ms. Shane Tormes - Mandaluyong City and Ms. Klaidel Concepcio - Marikina City
