Travel PH | Going Back in Time in Vinzons Camarines Norte

Along the way to the Parroquia De San Pedro Apostol, you will find a quiet two story house to your right.  Its deceptively beautiful as its lined up with lots of greens, shrubs and flowers.  Behind the green exteriors lies a century year old secret (not secret anymore).  A house built by Roman Pajarillo during the spanish era, still standing tall amidst the modern times it's in.

The hard wood steps going up the veranda gives already the feeling of going back in time.  The landing above greets you with its old rustic charms.  A big door then leads you to a sala where lots of old relics abound, from antique religious sculptures, the house reeks of escaparates (wooden cabinets), mesas (narra tables), and muebles (furnitures).

Except for the television which was evident in the sala, the house is still nicely kept as an ancestral home.  The house is still used as a residence thus forgive the television, the house itself is the crowd drawer here, trust me, you wont notice it's even there.  Just don't go in during Showtime or Eat Bulaga.

Getting here from Manila is through an 8 hour drive or a bus ride from Cubao to Daet Camarines Norte.  Fare is average Php500++ per person, DLTB, Super Lines and Philtranco service this route.  Then take a jeep towards Vinzons, Camarines Norte for 30 minutes.
