Dining | Great Experience at Ribshack SM City Iloilo
Travelling by Van from Antique to Iloilo isn't that easy so when we arrived in SM City Iloilo this writer was famished. Good thing a friend of mine met me there so he recommended this place out to me, Ribshack.
From the facade and looking into the its interiors, I was perturbed as to how much would this dinner would cost me. I have been in Panay Island for almost two weeks now and my travel money is already low. Although most of my trips were sponsored, I still have to spend some on food and some things not covered by my sponsors.
My friend assured me that it's not expensive so we proceeded to enter and walked up the counter. Yes he was right, the food were just about right for a budget traveller like me. I saw BBQ meal with rice at Php99 only. Thats unlimited rice already by the way. To add to my surprise, the meal offered 4 sticks of BBQ. Wow.
Since the name is Ribshack, they pride themselves of having great spare ribs, so I tried that out. It costed me Php99 only. The same with BBQ, it comes with unlimited rice.
Now the food is not simply being served after ordering, they will cook it first and you will have to wait for just a few minutes. Just enough time for you to make chitchat with my long time friend.
The chat was short as our order came right away. The BBQ was soft and sweet, my spareribs were juicy. Both dishes really surprised me for the price point given. It's no wonder that this place is always packed during lunch and dinner. We came in around 5pm and it had lots of tables then, by 6pm, the counter had a long line or queue, the dining area is already full of people. A testament of how great this place is.
For a Manileno like me, I was happy. Great tasting food with great prices, your vacation is indeed well spent time and money wise.
