Travel PH | Another Staycation Great - Garv's Boutique Hotel
If going out of Manila is not an option for you, fret not your friends are leaving you for the beaches, you can stay here at Garv's Boutique Hotel in Mandaluyong.
With the hotel still new (opened just January 2018), the rooms are still spanking new with aircon units blowing cold air at full blast, that is what you expect when you check in. I stayed over with my four big "kids" and seldom do we go out so we did cherish the moment with earnest.
My "kids" I still call them, are voracious eaters. So when looking for a stay for us, the place should have lots of food. Fortunate for us, surrounding this hotel were a number of restaurants so I know my "kids" will enjoy their stay. Also another given is it should have WIFI for which they had. Bless them for having fast connection (although other parts have slow ones - better ask the concierge for this) in our rooms. My kids were able to catch up with their internet games and what have you after we did our "family thing".
We also liked that its located along the main road so they are accessible by public transport. Easy to go to the malls in EDSA or in Manila. Take a Cab and you will be in Rockwell in a short time. My "kids" followed me and they took the jeep from EDSA. Just one ride and they were here at the hotel.
Due to the new AC units, we slept soundly and we woke up later than our usual. Beds were comfy adding to the pleasure of our sleep. What a great staycation it was for us. We were happy that we did this.
We also liked the idea that this place wasn't expensive. This was our bonus. A clean, cool room with lots of surrounding establishments, fast wifi for a great price. Now their room rates are pegged from Php1,500 to Php2,500 but they have a promo rate right now so rates went down as low as Php1,199 to Php2,299. Imagine that big slash in prices.
What stood out as well were their cheerful personnel, always smiling and attentive to your needs, your stay will surely be pleasurable. Me and my kids had lots of concerns, for which they attended to immediately. Concerns? What concerns? Just minor ones, like the wifi password, we asked for additional blankets, towels as we had changes in our room reservations (our fault), where are the convenience stores. Just minor ones.
For a new hotel, why are they almost at par with other hotels with experience? Garv's comes from a chain of budget hotels in various parts of Metro Manila and this one is their first line of boutique hotels. So service to their guests is not something new to them.
Now to push for more staycations with them, they are also offering their rooms on a 12 hour basis. Should you want to stay over and wile the heavy traffic away, then Garv's is it for you. They have ample parking spaces then simply relax in their hotel. Sleep soundly and come home relaxed the following day.

Now apart from boutique hotel services, in one part of the hotel compound, they also offer budget stays for people who wants to stay on a per month basis. Its a dorm type of accommodations starting from Php2,500 per month. The following pictures are of their budget stay.
